The Civil Rights University Black History Month Film Screening was a collaborative initiative involving Nobel Legacy Film Productions, the University of Chicago, Cornell University, Archbishop Desmond Tutu's nonprofit TutuDesk, and the at student led -organizations both universities. This project aimed to raise awareness about educational equity and inspire collective action through a documentary screening of "Children of the Light," which tells the remarkable life story of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, a pivotal figure in the fight against apartheid in South Africa.

Children of the Light is a documentary film produced by The PeaceJam Foundation that explores the life of Nobel Prize winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu, detailing his profound impact on modern South Africa. This documentary is the first of its kind to depict Tutu's life story and features extensive archival footage, family photographs, and never-before-seen interviews.
